Regenerative farming is simply best.

Nearly everything humans eat requires farming. Regenerative agriculture is resilient to drought, flooding, and pestilence. Proper farming improves the taste and nutritional value of food, prevents disease, and improves human health. Regenerative farms sequester carbon and reverse climate change. By working in harmony with Mother Nature, regenerative practices produce the abundance that can make any farm profitable.

Regenerative practices are verified science.

While humans sit at the top of the food chain, our future depends on how we manage resources and interact with Mother Nature. The “butterfly effect” of our actions will determine our future. GlobalGood encourages regenerative farming principles and practices to increase biodiversity, enrich soils, improve watersheds, and enhance ecosystems. For centuries, regenerative farms capture carbon in the soil and reverse the atmospheric accumulation of carbon. The proven results include increased yields, resilience to climate instability, and higher health and vitality for farming and ranching communities.

Regenerative benefits all.

Regenerative practices are guided by 4 Principles, which are uniquely applied to each bioregion:

• Progressively improve whole agroecosystems (soil, water, and biodiversity)

• Make holistic decisions that enhance the essence of each farm

• Support individuals, farms, and communities to achieve their innate potential

• Ensure equitable  and reciprocal relationships across all stakeholders

Regenerative improves yield.

Regenerative agriculture practices progressively improve whole agroecosystems through:

• Organic Annual Cropping

• No-till Farming

• Holistically Managed Grazing

• Biochar, Wood Vinegar, and Terra Preta

Pyrolysis is transformative.

Modern pyrolysis is modeled after a process that was first used 2,000 years ago to transform the infertile Amazonian basin into one of the most fertile places on earth. Biomass (green waste) is put into a pyrolysis machine and continuously augured into an inner chamber and heated by an outer chamber. In the absence of oxygen, the biomass becomes carbonized while the other elements volatilize and become gas. Part of these gases are condensed into a distilled liquid with more than 300 Mother-Nature-approved compounds. Importantly, crops taste better and are far more nutritious.

Biochar is miraculous.

Biochar is a charcoal that is 70-90% pure carbon. Biochar becomes the perfect habitat for regenerating beneficial microbes and turbocharges productivity and amplifies carbon sequestration. This carbon enrichment reduces the need for fertilizers and increases the soil’s capacity to soak up water, which cuts the risk of runoff that strips vital topsoil off the land. Biochar enhances the “soil sponge” which reduces the need for costly irrigation in dry conditions, and enhances drainage with porosity, preventing flooding during wet seasons. The carbon in biochar doesn’t easily oxidize, which means it can continue to enhance the soil for hundreds – and even thousands of years.

Biochar has an immediate impact on soil:

• Balances Acidity with High Ph

• Oxygenates Soil with High Porosity

• Increases the capacity of cationic exchange to better retain nutrients and minerals

• Becomes the optimal housing for microbes

Wood vinegar is phenomenal.

Wood vinegar is a byproduct of pyrolysis. Wood vinegar strengthens roots and leaves while stimulating plant and vegetable growth. Wood vinegar improves photosynthesis, increases useful microbes, and increases crop resistance to adverse conditions. Sirius also uses wood vinegar as raw material to create biopesticides. These Mother Nature approved inputs replace all toxic chemical inputs. The result is higher yield, higher profitability, and higher quality crops. Our Mother Nature approved inputs have a minimal effect on beneficial microbes while inhibiting pathogens.

The benefits of healthy soil.

• Healthy soil is prepared to drain water in the wet season. As water drains down into the soil, it prevents flooding and runoff by carrying nutrients down into the solid. This process also creates beneficial pathways for oxygen to penetrate soil.

• Healthy soil helps retain moisture during droughts. This creates a huge cost savings, because less water is required to produce abundant crops.

• Healthy soil significantly reduces the need for inputs. This dramatically reduces GHG emissions and lowers costs per hectare. This provides freedom from toxic pesticides.

• Healthy soil creates a beneficial ecosystem that becomes a vibrant home for countless species.

• Healthy soil enhances the microbiology that generates a positive feedback loop, which further regenerates biodiversity, which leads to a broader soil food web.

• On average 40% of the carbon that is absorbed by a plant through photosynthesis is later released through its roots into the soil. Instead of oxidizing and going back into the atmosphere, our healthy soil sequesters the carbon for the good of the plants and our climate.
